The story of ‘Star Wars’ surpasses Marvel’s blockbuster speed of ticket sales
“Solo: A Star Wars Story” has twice the sales of early ticket sales than the first blockbuster of this year’s Marvel Studios – ‘Black Panther’.
In some countries, Solo tickets: A Star Wars Story has been open since Thursday night (May 5). According to the Fandangio ticket sales website, the early ticket sales of the movie in the first 24 hours were twice as high as the previous Black Panther.
Although not able to break the ticket record on the first day of selling Avengers: Infinity War, Solo: A Star Wars Story is definitely a blockbuster on the box office.
According to estimates, Solo: A Star Wars Story could gross $ 170 million in its opening weekend, behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($ 247 million) and Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($ 220 million).
This may be a good sign for Disney because before, this film has encountered a lot of chaos, causing the producer to decide to fire director Phil Lord and Chris Miller before 3 weeks of shutting down. Then, Ron Howard was chosen as the replacement to complete the film.
In this new installment, the content revolves around the adventures of Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich). The film will also tell about his first meeting with Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams). This is the project Lucasfilm has spent a lot of effort with the desire to expand the Star Wars universe.
